Okay despite the fact that this image has no background really to speak of, I think this is the happiest I've ever been with my texturing of an image. I tried a much softer approach and changed my technique with this one a bit, and I love the result.
To keep with the soft feel I got from that, I chose to go with very little saturation in the color. This is my part of a trade with  . This fellow is her lovely character Alaron, who is a Pheasant-wolf, and has an amazingly simple and original design that I found very inspirational. I. Love. Original. Characters.
